Our Story
Our motto at the save the child is that even the smallest act of guidance can change a life.
This nonprofitable blog was inspired by a story that left a lasting impact: A father and son were walking along the ocean, where countless starfish had washed up on shore. The son gently picked one up and tossed it back into the ocean. After a few more steps, he did the same again. Curious, the father asked, "Why he was taking so much effort to throw the starfish back into the water as there were too many and it would not make a big difference?" The son replied, "I'm making a difference in their lives." The father looked around at the hundreds of starfish and said, "What difference does this make?" The son calmly picked up another and said, "I made a difference to that one."
We carry that spirit with us in everything we do.
Our goal is to mentor and motivate children and youth, helping them find direction, build confidence, and believe in themselves—one child at a time. Just like that father on the beach, we may not reach everyone, but to the ones we do, it makes all the difference.
